This device not only includes the infrared heat put also a wand type soldering iron AND a hot air gun.

With the infrared and heat gun, you can pop and replace chips in seconds as opposed to using a standard tip wand that might be near impossible to do repairs.

The hot air gun will automatically turn off and on when setting it down or picking it up to use which avoids having to turn it down or off each time you need to use it. It also has a built in fan to keep from overheating.
